What are you looking for in a pair of jeans?
First of all they have to feel comfortable, like a second skin, I am not a fan of clothes that put limits on what you do. Secondly, it is important how they fit, especially over the bum and hips; I am slightly pear-shaped so I have to be careful on how jeans fit in that area. Third, they have to have something extra.
ON FASHION AND LIFE
What inspires you when you are putting together an outfit?
It is important for me to be comfortable regardless the situation and what I am wearing, so I think that what I wear really depends on my mood that day. Simultaneously all of my outfits are on point, I rarely just just throw something on, you can laugh but I have been working on a coherent wardrobe for a long time, so it is not very difficult to take out couple of things that match perfectly.
What would you say your signature style is?
From early on my love toward rock music has been influencing my style. The leather jacket, skinny jeans. With years, that style has been more refined and can now be described as a minimalistic and clean twist on rock-chic and 70’s.
Do you have any go-to pieces?
Leather jacket, skinny jeans, a striped shirt and cool pointy flats. It is a no brainer in any given situation.
How has your personal style evolved over the last years?
It has become more put-together and precise with years. When you are younger, it is so fantastic to be able to experiment, to play with all those different influences and inputs, but growing up you take choices that define you as a person and thus the style.
What is your solution when you are having a clothing crisis?
A golden rule less is more, because the more you panic the worse solutions get. Worst-case scenario is white shirt, high waist jeans & easy black pumps. Weather i end up with a blazer over or a leather jacket depends on the situation at the end.
